Best Video: No Season Finale Special Theme This was a beautiful character study of River Tam. I loved the “candy cloud” colors, which fit so well with River’s story and the lyrics. You captured all of her aspects – innocence, fear, wonder and bad assness – perfectly, along with her relationship with Simon. Even if you haven’t seen a single episode, you show the close bond they share and how they will do anything for each other. I loved how you handled the change in the music dynamic starting at 2:11 and the voice over worked nicely. The editing from 2:48-3:05 was amazing – I loved the focus on her eyes and mouth, mixed with the quick clips. And the ending was perfect, with the slow turn and then freeze. Amazing vid, truly! | Best Video: No Season Finale Special Theme You know, I’m not really a fan of Firefly. I’ve probably watched three episodes total. It was one of those shows that I tried to watch, but could never get interested in. However, this vid is stunning from beginning to end. Although I know just enough about the characters to be dangerous, it seemed like you picked the perfect song to fit River Tam. The energy and color were breathtaking; the editing beautiful. There was a heartbreaking melancholy to the whole thing. You really did have me once again wanting to watch this show. Nice job!! |
