Best Video: Papa Roach Special Theme What a great song for Dean Winchester, our favorite broken soul! The lyrics are full of angst and the beat is angry; very fitting! Dean tries to keep a gruff exterior, but it all affects him; the loss of his family, the fear of losing Sam, the burden of saving people and possibly failing. All in all, a very nice character study! I liked how you drew the parallels between Dean and Sam and John; he knows that they’ve felt the same, but despite that, they are the ones who can cut him the deepest. I loved your use of overlays, they were very well timed/placed. Nice editing, great clip choices, excellent use of timing. I look forward to seeing more from you! | Best Video: Papa Roach Special Theme I loved this video and the storytelling of Dean’s mindset after John’s death. The editing was very smooth and you used interesting clip choices to go with the lyrics. I especially enjoyed the lyrical matching from :29 to :50 and 2:58 to 3:05. The split screen at :29 was great, as well as the overlays at :40 and 3:14. The use of the slow blurs to go with “shut me out” were absolutely perfect! Two thumbs up all the way around. |
